Winter diptychs. Photographs taken in December 2025 along Lake Maggiore and the Ticino river in Bellinzona. The photographs were shot with a Canon Demi EE17 half-frame camera; the negatives were developed using Caffenol, a mixture of instant coffee and Vitamin C. The imperfections and halos on the negatives, left by the handcrafted development, are part of the process, allowing for full control over one's own work. The negatives were digitized using a full-frame sensor; therefore, the two half-frame shots remain joined, forming a diptych and creating unexpected connections.
