@film_girl Yeah, Roku is decent & cheap enough. I tried telling my Dad that if he wanted next to zero ads, he would need to buy an AppleTV & the sticker shock drove him to get a Roku Streaming Stick 4K for $29 (Cyber Week Deal).

@bigzaphod Yeah, the company doesn’t make them anymore (focusing on the smoker side of things I suppose) but Char-Broil has an almost identical setup. It uses propane burners on an outer ring & shields the turkey in a drum only letting radiant heat cook it.
@bigzaphod They are delicious, but dealing with the oil afterwards is a pain.
I switched to an IR Turkey Fryer from New Braunfels Smokers & it works just as well (but the drumsticks will sometimes pull away more than the oil would).

@nixCraft This was the zenith of handheld ergonomics & had some truly classic games. I miss it terribly.
@dsilverman That’s good to hear that it is still meeting your needs. I saw a few reports of people complaining that it overheats or frequently disconnects/fails to connect.
We live in TX too, so I figured that if it didn’t die in the Houston heat & humidity, that it would work for her.
Is the new device a two-in-one (CarPlay & Android Auto)? If so, I may wait to buy until your review drops. (We have drivers in both camps - iOS & Android)
