Today I learned that when you click on a #mastodon profile and you see a message saying "this profile has been hidden" it can mean that the mods of your server have muted the server hosting that profile.
Don't worry - you can still click to view the profile
This federated structure certainly does take some getting used to!

I still maintain a presence there because I have friends there that don't want to leave. It is sad to see a once great site going to the dogs.
