she/her

hopefully my sane thoughts might come out here...maybe.

I want this Tuesday to be over already
Hello. I'm back.
I've been over on a.weirder.earth most of the time lately so well...
hello. that's it really, just saying hi.

Mastodon newbie protip: don't click the "remote follow" button. Just copy the user's URL and paste it into the search bar of your home instance, then click the follow button (the little icon of a person with a "+" on it).

Not only is "remote follow" slower and more awkward; it's a potential security risk, because a malicious instance could trick you into giving them your password (if you're not paying attention to the URL bar).

If you like the work I put into Mastodon, especially now in the role as PM, feel free to throw some dollars at me via Patreon.

One of my goals is to highlight a lot of our contributors patreons or paypal.me links, or at least to help facilitate this somehow. If anyone wanna start a roundup, I'd be much obliged!

@[email protected] so are you going to keep going with politics posts? most answers to your question seem to be yes with a cw.

@[email protected] I really try not to favourite everything you write (a bit creepy maybe?) so it would help if you stopped transcribing my thoughts into really good words.

Or... I could carry on trying to restrain myself from the fav and boost button (at least occasionally).

@[email protected] trying to avoid stereotypes all my life, I won't start now. Promise ✋

Yes, there are languages other than english on the federated timeline, quel horreur!!. This is a feature, not a bug. Insisting that it is only english is horrible for more reasons than I have space to talk about here.

If you do want to suggest something to get a timeline where you can read all the posts don't be a racist dickbag while you do it.

Example: asking for language tags on toots may actually be useful, saying something about escaping the rice and sushi is fucking terrible

Every single time...
slightly worried that if all Irish people (as in me) keep using 'craic' it'll become the new "top o' the mornin to ya".
but craic is such a good word! suppose I can't change a lifetime of habit now.
