All that time spent in the hockey rink as a kid finally coming in handy. #woodworking
Some 250 year old cut nails I was gifted at Christmas next to some finishing cut nails I picked up in the fall. It’s a shame we don’t use these more often now. #woodworking
Slight modification to my drill holder to hold all the miscellaneous bits I have that didn’t come with their own holders. #woodworking

When it looks like you’re trying to hot rod your circular saw.

(I needed to fit it to a 2.5” vacuum hose)

First few tool hangers up on the French cleat. Mind the roughness and unfinished look - they’re made from parts of torn down wall and low grade construction plywood.

Happy with the overall form of the drill holder. Didn’t like the other designs I had seen so I made something that felt natural for a righty. Also, rushed it a bit and didn’t think to mount the board on top of the cleat before I had already added the supports. Will know for the next one!

After putting my sleep schedule out of whack, I found myself researching drill bits until about 4AM last night.

Today I’m the proud owner of this amazingly long Brad Points. #woodworking

Sorry all, I took your shelf apart. I’ll make sure this piece gets turned into part of my shop, though. #woodworking
Project 2 for the day complete: tear out half the basement. Here’s my lumber haul for the day.

First project of the day done: install a basic air filter to catch what my dust collector doesn’t.

Ran a job site table saw down here the other day and was horrified by what escaped.

Saw this door in Ottawa and am trying to diagnose what went wrong that it won’t close.

Looks like many of the panel boards are flat-sawn and expanded, pushing the outer stile out (judging by the gap in the bottom rail). Any other theories?
