#Thunderbolts is a movie for those who just clock in and clock out at work, feeling empty but also looking for a sense of purpose. It's also for those experiencing existential, quarter-life, or mid-life crises, as well as those struggling with depression. It's a movie about flawed main characters.

The movie gets dark... literally. It shows us that sometimes, our biggest villains are from within ourselves. But it also teaches us that we can fight back. And sometimes, all we need is a group hug.

Officially retired.

Tired yesterday. Tired again today. Re-tired. 😂

Amazing shows I've watched recently...

- Daredevil: Born Again S1 (Disney+)
- The White Lotus S3 (Max)
- The Wheel of Time S3 (Prime Video)

And currently watching...

- The Last of Us S2 (Max)
- Andor S2 (Disney+)

Looking forward to more this year. What else should I be watching out for?

PS. Also, can we have just one streaming platform for all of these? I only watch a few shows/movies per platform anyway. 😂

Me after work: "Time to unwind." (starts watching #TheLastOfUs season 2 episode 2)

Me during the episode: 😱🤯😭😡😭😭😭

I haven't played the game, but I knew what was coming because I've read some comments/spoilers online. But I wasn't expecting it to happen so soon. I thought it would be the season finale, not episode 2. I was NOT prepared for that. It's like the Red Wedding all over again.

Meanwhile, the battle of Jackson was giving GOT's Battle of Winterfell vibes. Goosebumps. A solid episode for me. 👏

Throwing back to Spring 2013 🇯🇵

This was in Shukugawara. My Japanese boss invited me and my colleagues to a weekend hanami with his family. They prepared food, and we had a nice picnic by the creek.

It was peaceful. The view was breathtaking. And the creek was immaculately clean. The falling sakura petals made the experience even more magical.

More than the view, it was a great opportunity to get to know our Japanese boss better and experience one of their traditions like a local.

PS. It's sakura season and my FB memories are making me look back at my old albums. Glad I took a lot of photos back then. Wish I could add new photos, but these will do for now.

"When in Cebu... Fili Cafe (Nustar) or Feria (Radisson Blu) dinner buffet?"

I asked this on Threads and Fili won by a landslide. But I'm a rebel, so I went to Feria. 😂 Only because I was staying the night in Mactan and the Grab price to Nustar was discouraging (500-700 one way). Radisson Blu was a lot nearer, so I took the risk.

IMO, the buffet at Feria was fine. I liked the calm ambiance. There were not that many customers. And the food selection was okay. They had Italian, Filipino, Indian, Japanese, Chinese, etc. What stood out for me in terms of taste was the Chinese cuisine. (Maybe because it was CNY? lol) The sashimi looked uninviting but actually tasted fresh. The dessert was also good.

Now I need to try Fili to taste the difference. But that's for another trip since I was in Cebu only for an overnight layover. Next time, Fili.

PS. Fili dinner buffet is currently on a 25% discount promo until Feb 14 (if I remember correctly). Too bad I missed it. But you might want to take advantage of this if you're in Cebu.

PPS. My birthday coincided with CNY. I don't normally celebrate/splurge on my bday (yeah I'm weird), but this year is a milestone. So I made an effort to go out and do something haha.

So this year is supposed to be twenty twenty thrive, huh?

#Travel planning requires serious research skills. Maybe this was what our college thesis and research papers prepared us for. So kids, take your thesis seriously. 😂

PS. I should get paid for this! As I am my own customer, I'll pay myself with... a free travel incentive, which I'll also plan myself, and for which I have to pay myself again with another travel, and so on. 😆

Finally, after 684 revisions, my #Palawan itinerary is final hahaha. Made several cancellations and new bookings (again). After too much overthinking, I have decided to skip Port Barton for now and just focus on El Nido and PPS. I think I was feeling some sort of paradise overwhelm. Puro kasi beach for 9 days haha. Plus ang daming van transfers. So I replaced PB with a 2-night staycation at a nice hotel in PPS. Perfect for decompressing before going home. And now I'm excited!

PS. NGL, Palawan can be overwhelming for first time goers and DIY and solo travelers like me. There are so many options and you want to make the most of your trip. But less is more. And slow travel is better. So I'll reserve Port Barton for another trip. Hopefully soon. 🤞

PS. My headspace right now: Huwag mong iupgrade mo na yan. Hindi mo kailangan mag S25 Ultra ka na ngayon. 😈
