I live in west Wales with my partner, @utilly, and assorted four footed beasties. I'm the host of a long running podcast in which I go on, and on, and on about knitting.

Because one can never get enough of ancient #RomanGlass, Here's two 1st c. BCE ribbed glass 'rippenschale' bowls with white trails, one cobalt blue, the other burgundy.

Probably made in the eastern Mediterranean. #GettyVilla #archaeology #romanarchaeology

Thirteen summers, each as languid as the last. #caterday

Sharing this to @fediversenews, too...good to get the word abt this organizing:

"Can we make the fediverse the welcoming-est place in social media?

We’re a soft-launching new welcoming committee. All you have to do is reply to introduction posts to say hello and offer help.
We hope you’ll follow @welcoming & mention to the group how many people you welcomed....

You can point people to https://SpreadMastodon.org, https://discover.fedified.com, or any other resources you like!"

@yomimono I had a dog who used to chase anything reflective. We called them sparklies, but I love “negative shadows”. It’s a wonderful description. And a great photo.
My partner got this incredible action shot of our beautiful princess shadow-hunter, who also hunts negative shadows (i.e. sparkles and reflections). Happy #caturday to all who celebrate 😸
The only word for this #Caturday is magnificent.
feel like your garage is too full of junk? no problem. try referring to it as "cargo bay one" instead
Remembering that time I thought I might design a sweater with a stranded colourwork pattern based on Bassett’s Licorice Allsorts. And then I ate them.
I've got the frames, you've got the hooks, let's hang lots of Monet.
Despite being all over the place, those early stitches *were perfect* despite being haphazard, because they did what I needed them to do at the time, and they gave me the practice I needed.
