Rey is NOT a Mary Sue... Anybody who claim she is doesn't know what a real Mary Sue is.

Rey may be a bit over powered, but that's all. Luke was also over powered. Anakin was over powered even before his training. Anakin raced in pod and blew a star ship at 9. Get over it.

Rey learned to fight in the desert to defend herself. She lived alone. Not Luke or Anakin. Rey as an abandonment issue that Luke never had.

Rey is not the centre of all attention. She is not even the centre of the plot. She doesn't always take the best decisions. And other characters gives her shit. ( notably Luke. )

Rey is a pretty good character.
