About 2 years ago I joined Bluesky and, honestly, I like it more there. Then I found and tried Bridgy, a great tool for connecting services. Just not the right fit for me, because duplicate/multiplied profiles and data are one reason I struggle with the Fediverse.
So I disabled it. The Bridgy admin confirmed it was inactive, but the old cached profile still showed up. Mastodon.social handled the removal quickly and professionally. Maybe I'll like Mastodon again, who knows.

Germany's position has been reverted to UNDECIDED.
Despite expressing concerns about breaking end-to-end encryption, Germany refrained from taking a definitive stance on the Chat Control proposal during the September 12th LEWP meeting. A willingness to negotiate and compromise remains.
This is an unfortunate development as Germany is crucial to defeating Chat Control.

Ideja decentralizacije in fediverzuma me je ob prvi veliki tviterski migraciji dovolj pritegnila, da se mi je zdelo zanimivo in vredno poglobiti v delovanje protokola, raziskovanje alternativ Mastodonu itd. Se mi zdi, da relativno (seveda ne popolnoma) uspešno.
Čemu ta dramatičen uvod?
Ker vedno bolj razumem vse, ki trdijo, da fediverzum ni optimalna alternativa ex-Twitterju. Ali Instagramu ali Redditu. Do tega manjka še veliko, oz., bolje, to nikoli ne bo mogel postati.

Fight Chat Control has been updated to include ministers and relevant officials from all member states, ensuring those directly involved in the negotiations at the Council level are also reached. The Danish Presidency is now also included by default!
