@kissane oh damn, this is tremendous. I've been thinking (more accurately: being recurrently terrified) that "flood the zone" has been the most important tool for upending our knowledge systems, but you've gone way further and with such great writing. Enjoy the holiday and thanks!

I think more of this online commentary about "community" and "organizing" needs to have room for the honest truths like "you will feel like a complete fool doing this and feel like you're doing it wrong" so I'm here for you; TAKING ACTION FEELS STUPID don't let it get to you 😭😭

So, here's the thing. Most of you probably think I repost this video of the greatest live rock performance of all time too much. And that's fine. It's not my day to watch you.

But, please consider that every time I repost it, I've watched at least another five times. As one should.

It's that good. It's actually really that good.

Some of you are getting that this is a geologically significant performance.

@hotdogsladies thanks Merlin, for seeing us. News from the community is just devastating. Us library workers are hoping the building is spared so we can continue to serve what remains.
@hotdogsladies She’s great. They’re all great that come to the Altadena Library where I work. It’s hanging on by a thread right now. A special place.
A useful tool for academic, or any style, reading on digital platforms would be a built in personal dictionary or glossary. When you encounter one of the author’s important terms or conceptual names you could look up your own definition and be reacquainted.
I love this page out of a catalog so much I’ve kept it for 30 years
I’ve officially hit rock bottom.
