Hello, I'm a Human from Planet Earth.
I was today years old when I found out that Pythagoras was famous in his time not for being a Mathematician, but rather for being the founder and shaman of a mysticism cult whose biggest sin was eating beans.
There are doubts about his mathematical accomplishments actually stemming from him, but nobody questions his bean cult.
Jokes aside it was interesting how they saw mathematics and arithmetics as being the one true religion. They also discovered harmonics in music and astronomy.
@BobWilliams I think the feeling you're describing isn't unique to our times but rather that it's a part of human existence. Specks of carbon dust in a cosmic void who search for answers that don't exist
