We desperately need it to communicate effectively, build on each others ideas, and add crucial context to posts. These are things replies simply do not accomplish. Also quote posting or reblogging does not = harassment! Tumblr, for instance, has had the feature since the beginning. We need it here now too 🙏🏻

Here's how the idea was first floated on Slack: "Day 1 of the marketplace involves auctioning off all of the currently inactive handles. The Mastodon android app seems like it's missing a lot of features compared to web right now.
I wonder if the recent influx of new users will bring more open source devs with it to push development along.
Earlier today Elon Musk said that my ban was temporary, 45 min later he denied my appeal to reinstate my account and confirmed that I am *permanently* banned. The email I just received says the decision cannot be reversed.
I have never once violated Twitters rules or terms of service. I’ve never had a single tweet flagged, my account was permanently banned with no warning and with no reason, after I reached out to Musk for comment.
