@aral landlord moving into the place you're renting is the worst. We moved across the country, were very specific about finding a landlord who wanted long-term tenants, and within 7 months of signing the lease we got an email telling us to find a new place to live bc he's gonna move in. It kills your savings/money plans to have to move so often and it's beyond frustrating when you have to move for reasons you 100% cannot control.

@AriaaJaeger can you help me find a citation for Einstein's refusal to speak at white colleges? I can find only that he had stopped accepting invitations to speak at universities bc of his health but chose to speak @ Lincoln to lead by example.
@MargotWilliams it's like this everywhere every time someone famous dies, it drives me nuts too. But our problem is with human nature, not a website. Artists/public figures touch our lives deeply, but the grief we feel when they pass is hard to express without it seeming superficial to cynical strangers. Either nobody's allowed to express grief about someone they didn't know personally... or we could be a little less cynical?
