First-gen iOS-based products traditionally haven't had a long shelf life. The iPhone only made it to iOS 3. The original iPad lasted from iOS 3 to iOS 5. The original Apple Watch was dropped after watchOS 4.
~Three years each.
We're at the other end of Apple's generational CPU improvements now, and Vision Pro is *packed* with specs. I expect this first-gen model will be capable of powering visionOS for years to come. With supply chain constraints, I don't see this getting revisions every year
