This is being passed around a very small group right now. A number of us suspected this was happening on that hell site during the election. What can we do to ensure we're not being manipulated to drive certain outcomes on any platform?

Hello Mastodon! We're very excited to join the fediverse. We hope to connect with music lovers and progheads around the world.

Someone is manufacturing an AI-driven female robot.

An actual feature: if you try to have sex with her, she'll electrocute you.

Innovation can create some life-changing products and others that might not be necessary, as we found out this week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Pope ‘shadowbanned’ over Gaza genocide and international justice

Calls for peace by Pope who has condemned Israel’s genocide reach less than 1% of Pontiff’s 18m followers Figures from the Pope’s recent social media posts about Gaza suggest that…

Just came across this Ed Ruscha lithograph.

It was actually made in 1967—not 1984.

It’s fascinating to me because that font was, for a good long time, the computer font. And not that Ruscha would know it at the time, but 1984 was an incredibly eventful year in computer history:

  • Intro of the Mac
  • Launch of the CD-ROM
  • Invention of flash memory
  • Release of PCjr and PC/AT
  • Neuromancer published, and with it, the term “cyberspace” was coined

Of course, Ruscha couldn’t have known this. His lithograph probably alludes to the Orwell book. But even in that, there’s a tie-in with Apple’s 1984 Super Bowl commercial.

Going to a public library is often a good way to help restore your faith in humanity.

Happy New Year! Wishing everyone a healthy, happy, and prosperous 2025.
My goodness, I've been speed running through different AI programs the last month to get caught up on what's been developed.

I'm curious about how other creatives feel, but I feel like there's a bit of a gap between what my mind wants to create versus just letting AI do all the work? I don't know, but I'm definitely going to look into training models at some point. So far, Suno probably was what blew me away the most lol. Literally inputting in five words to generate music is pretty wild.

Love and peace!

You are making my day! ♥️

After sharing my new presentation about information warfare across all platforms, it is clear Mastodon is number one. Among the external viewers…

31 percent are from Mastodon
3 percent are from Bluesky
2 percent are from Facebook
0 percent are from Threads

What you see above is the difference between unhindered interaction, and algorithmic suppression. I am fully convinced, the Threads content algorithm suppresses links to YouTube, to keep users in the fold.

I'm back! People headed to Bluesky en masse, but no ... I like it here. I worked on a project that kept me on X for the past couple years and that was really rough! Toxic X Syndrome is REAL and I'm hoping to get into more writing, music, and soul searching here.

Hope everyone has been well and getting ready to share some of those awesome Thanksgiving recipes soon!

Peace and Love!
