In a nutshell, Trippi is saying we are getting our clocks cleaned because we do not own the networks. We are "renting" not owning, and we can therefore be evicted or subject to the owner's rules. The only answer they agree is to build our own open public networks.
Fortunately, we have a nascent one right here.
