As bad as things are in this country right now they are being made 100x worse by the deteriorating state of autocomplete text on iOS.

I really can no longer type a single sentence without having to go back and fix SOME part of it each and every time. It’s just one more thing, I swear. 😫

@ChanceHMiller Yes! Any idea when we might see this released? Thanks.

Are you a (sadly, now former) Twitterrific or Tweetbot user? Do this:

1. Reinstall the app(s) from the iOS App Store.
2. Tap the ā€œI Don’t Need a Refundā€ button.
3. Know you helped a small developer whose work you’ve appreciated.

Tweetbot and Twitterrific Face the Cliff

There is something noble about two longtime rivals — competitors, yes, but with nothing but deep respect and camaraderie for each other — facing this terrible cliff together, with dignity and grace, considering their users first, as ever.

@willrbishop I’m a full time Uber Driver and this is a really crappy thing to do, not sure why some drivers do this. Just so you know though, if a driver does this too often they are kicked off the platform for good. I know this doesn’t help your situation, but just wanted to let you know.
Apple fixes annoying HomePod bug that caused HomeKit requests to time out and fail the first time you ask

Apple today released HomePod OS 16.3.2 for HomePod, HomePod mini and HomePod (second-generation) devices. The update addresses a pesky bug introduced with 16.3 that made controlling a HomeKit smart home a particularly frustrating affair … The issue was that Siri on HomePod would fail to complete a smart home request the first time you asked. @[email protected] No I’m not. Everything was working great until 16.3. I think it has something to do with that new architecture they pulled after a few days. Wish I hadn’t installed that. I’ve sent Apple a report in feedback. Hopefully it’s affecting enough people that they’ll put out a fix.
@[email protected] Hi there, thanks for the response. Yeah I've tried all the usual tricks and still no good unfortunately. Can I ask, did you update to the new architecture in 16.2 before Apple pulled it?
Anyone else experiencing this bug with the OG HomePod since 16.3? Every time I make any request to Siri, it will say ā€œI cannot do that right now, please try again laterā€ Then if I immediately ask the same thing it will complete the request. From what i can see online it seems to be affecting those of us who updated to the latest architecture in 16.2 that was pulled. All was fine though till 16.3, and 16.3.1 didn’t fix it. Anyone know of a fix, it’s driving be crazy. #homepod #apple
@lexfri Yes! We love this show.
