In a former version of my life, I was a working musician and songwriter. For many frustrating reasons, I left that world a while back, but I never stopped playing and writing for myself. Every single day, I think about going back.
I figured that with coming here to Mastodon and kind of starting over with a fresh slate on social media, maybe it was time to share some newer music.

I’m halfway through Selby Wynn Schwartz’s “After Sappho” and I’m loving the way that she plays with language and creates these delicious paragraphs that wash over you and sweep you out to the sea. After rushing through several other books since the beginning of this year, I’m taking my time with this one and letting it simmer.
After being mildly obsessed with Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat as a kid, when I started seeing previews for ClayFighter in Electronic Gaming Monthly and GamePro, I convinced myself that this would be the next big fighting game to rule over my life.
I finally got my hands on it and while it never lived up to the hype I had let build up, it was decent and good for a laugh. I think I mained Bad Mr. Frosty, which just sounds like it’s code for something wrong.
