Hi everyone. Well I’ve been here a few weeks and it’s probably time I do an #introduction toot.

I never know what to write here. Umm. Well, I’m a GenX Latina woman who is kind of starting over I guess. Looking for friends as an adult, which believe it or not, is a lot harder than it sounds.

I feel really big, love pretty hard and I’m loyal to my friends and loved ones to a fault.

Writing microfiction, posting some watercolor sketches meaningful quotes and riding my bike. Oh... and I just had a birthday! 🎉

I pick up my phone at least a dozen times a day aching to hear you.

The sound of your voice would soothe. Our laughter would be a salve.

But i arrest the action.

Despite having a relatively recent iPhone, I can never get good photos of the moon.

Even in terrible photos she still shines though. She's so beautiful.

A Sonnet for the Moon

The moon she peeked out from shielding clouds
When I saw my breath hitched. Somewhat startled.
Her light glowed softly. Her beauty — no bounds
I was overcome by her and marveled

Slowly she rose giving me more of her
Valleys and hills, the darkness and her scars
Being fully seen seems a rare picture
Maybe it helped, I, stripping my armor.

She stayed by my side like I was worthy
Of her soft light against my cheek and limbs
The wind our messenger notes are carried
Emotions so deep I feel her within

She whispered softly, "we are connected ."
But I knew this from past lives affected.
