It's been a long year since I last spoke to y'all. After several months filled with health challenges, Marcia passed away on 15 October. We had a nice long run, more than 27 years.

another busy weekend just about done. Shopping, dog walks. End of season maintenance on the mower, beginning of season maintenance on the snow thrower, coffee roasting, and all in about eight hours of work for the office because it's a patching weekend. Woo hoo.
sweet marias beans in a new roaster... the old one died three months shy of its 15th birthday., and so I bought a new one. I also purchased some parts from Behmor, and since have fixed the old one, so now I have a back up. That's a very good thing.

I have blog posts I want to write. I have side projects I want to do.
But a need to prioritize other interests has been so vital for me as I realized summer is my sacred time.
I won't speak at conferences in July or August. I spend 10 months of the year in terrible weather and short days.
Setting this boundary has been refreshing & helps affirm that saying no to things is okay.
