πŸŽ—οΈmacOS Chrome-ish browser users can do:

```bash
$ defaults write com.google.Chrome ExtensionManifestV2Availability -int 2
```

to keep Manifest V2 extensions working until June of next year (needs a browser restart).

Change the key depending on your browser. e.g.,

β€’ com.google.Chrome.beta
β€’ com.vivaldi.Vivaldi
β€’ com.vivaldi.Vivaldi.snapshot
β€’ company.thebrowser.Browser (for Arc users)

(etc.)

Go to:

β€’ chrome://policy/

to make sure it's set.

If LLMs are helping you fill in meaningless paperwork, then the solution might be to get rid of the meaningless paperwork.

Not to use a program to create more meaningless paperwork for others

So apparently I forgot that it was PositConf next week. I don't think I can go. I haven't communicated time off for it, nor booked hotels or travel. It's been that kind of year(s).

#RStats

I suspect I ended up following a lot of the R folks I used to follow on the tweeters/X. Which is great. I miss y'all greatly. It's been lonely over there for a while without you. I don't know how to keep up with R anymore. It's been hard to go from `%>%` to `|>` even. I feel like one of those old people I used to make fun of. What's been going on with Julia? Is it as good as R? Better? I can tell you after the last few months that Pandas just doesn't do it for me.
I'll be honest though. I've spent a lot more time in python lately than R. R is still my home, but been learning a lot about segmentation-based approaches to image analysis with OpenCV and Python lately. Making data for R to process! (I swear)
I guess I should use this thing. I'm supporting it and haven't been using it while (other site) has been dying. Been off the other site for a few weeks now and need to consider if the answer is threads, or bluesky, or here. How dare I assume it isn't here?
