An egret catches a mouse for a meal at the Shell Ridge Open Space in Walnut Creek. First time I’ve seen this bird here at the park and was fortunate to get an opportunity to watch it hunt and eat.

Favorite frame today from my trip up Mt. Diablo is the frozen needles on this pine tree. It was so beautiful up on the snowy mountain.

#Rain is coming down hard and steady! Watch in lane 4. Always be aware of ponding and the chance of hydroplaning. You can’t react fast enough if you don’t give yourself enough safe braking distance. Luckily, this situation turned out ok. 📍N680 near San Ramon/Alamo.

While I was waiting for an Anna’s #hummingbird to show up and show out-there were droplets of #rain slowly dripping off the ledge of the feeder. Amazing amount of #drizzle while waiting for the forecasted heavy rains.
