Slightly distracted at the moment

Oracle Enterprise Manager is a perpetual well of joy!
The warning sign in Performance Hub is harmless, but easy to solve (even without OEM activities - simple sql scripts are enough)

OEM: ASH Package Version Status - manual update

I had some fun with OEM adding cman targets.
At least for me it wasn't as documented as I'd would have preferred.
(so it's more a note-to-self than anything of public interest)

OEM 13.5 - add cman target

They really take that serious.
Not even "_oracle_script"=TRUE
helps.
How deep to dig down?
Or just give in and stop?

Things I like:
A SW vendor putting huge effort into a tool to collect & diagnose issues on the system - for faster and more systematic problem analysis.
Things I dislike:
The same vendor limiting this feature to a subset of systems - preferring only their own "hard&software - desinged to fail together" for no reasons.

There is no silver bullet in performance tuning at all. Just a simple focus on top resource consumers. Of course basic knowledge about the system helps, as well as minimal skills in using a search engine.

from 200 active sessions down to 2 - no silver bullets

That's odd for me:
Why is DB Time less than Duration, when I see many parallel sessions active during the full duration?
( full report: http://berx.at/oracle/pq7.html )
Oracle instances have a minimum memory requirement depending on CPUs in use.
It's a quite linear function - with smiling residuals:

minimal SGA requirements - dependent on CPU_COUNT
