Coming very soon - a new, revised and updated edition of The Surnames of Cornwall, first published in 2019. The new edition includes notes on the origin and history of an extra 100 Cornish surnames, taking the total surname entries to around 850. there is also an extended introduction and 20 extra distribution maps are included. It will be available in paperback, hardback and e-book formats.
From 2011 to 2021 the number of dwellings in Cornwall grew by 26,651. But the number of households only by 20,149. In Cornwall supply of housing is growing at a rate equivalent to the 300k a year often cited as necessary for England. And yet we have a worsening affordability crisis. Housing provision needs radical reform not tinkering through easing planning laws or help to buy schemes/scams that merely benefit the middle classes

Cornwall's housing crisis #5. Cornwall Council is tendering a £125k contract for an external consultancy to help them come up with a 'Cornwall growth strategy'. No mention anymore of 'environmental growth', let alone degrowth. How many more houses will be added to the current 52,000 target?
