I’m going to London

NB: I originally drafted a version of this post in early 2020 after I applied to run the Boston Marathon for a charity – and I was not selected to receive a charity bib that year. The London …

After a 20 mile run, we enjoyed this fantastic beer we brought back from Belgium in October. It was as good as we remembered.

If you are considering a visit to Bermuda, or an international race destination, I may have some thoughts on both.

🚨 RUNNERS: the swag this year was a light jacket, race shirt & a really nice backpack! If you run for swag, the full or half Bermuda Triangle Challenge will give you quality pieces to bring home!

#BermudaTriangleMarathon Challenge complete!

I will say this marathon course has hills! Prepare accordingly. I’m glad I did the new marathon course to ‘run’ down memory lane of places I remember from living on the island - Dockyard,, my 1st apartment, friends’ houses, snorkel spots, beach where we got married & more + seeing friends - that made it a complete experience.

Kudos to the #BermudaTriangleChallenge organizers for a well run, swag-laden, fun event!

We buried my mom 5 years ago today. I’ve been a bit emotional all day. So much time has passed - all in the blink of an eye.

I miss her so much.

Hehas 90 people this year (up from 60 last October) 😱

And yes, it’s like I’m the class mom. My mom used to do stuff like this for others, and now that she’s gone, I try to continue her legacy of giving in small ways that help brighten someone else’s day.

We recently spent a week cycling in Belgium through Flanders, enjoying history, art, beer & chocolate.

I highly recommend this if you are interested in any/all of the above. The company I used was Bergs & Cobbles in Ghent. Ken was a wonderful organizer & communicator. We had 3 flat tires in the week (bad luck), and he was always a WhatsApp message or call away to help us find a nearby bike shop.

He also knows where the best beer in the world can be enjoyed!
