The word "excellent" is derived from the Christian practice of giving up using Microsoft Excel for 40 days to commemorate Christ's sacrifice.

It is a period of great productivity.

The date of lent is calculated using an obscure Excel macro on a field that didn't originally have anything to do with dates, but Excel converted it to one anyway.

@fulelo True. But then - so are all the women in Scotland and Wales 😉 A brief look at the article suggests that they're particularly focusing on periods and menopause, which is probably the main reason.

@bigcalm @popey @tamas I have a Mac mini, although Terminal is set up with zsh so it's ok. Sadly, though, Chrome is about to stop supporting it. Not sure I'll be able to replace it.

Slightly niche issue, but anyone else here using Tusky on NOW broadband? It's failing to load images - I think it might be something to do with the content blocking but I don't know how to resolve?

@Peternimmo @ArdentArchivist @DulceMaria @withaveeay @kiwi2002 Yes, I believe (from stories, not first hand) that the current tradition in the RC church is for any eulogy/tribute to be either before or after the Mass and not part of the service.
