Dylan: “Done? Nothing… solid. But I needed a friend out here and Lewis was it. I don’t care what my mum says, he’s alright.”
Gina: “I really don’t wanna talk about it.”

#WritingWonders Day 23: if I swapped places with my MC, would I survive the story?
Seeing that Lewis and I are fairly similar and my screenplay is inspired by events in my life, you’d think that this would be self evident. But honestly, given the tweaks I have made, I don’t think I would survive what he goes through. I barely survived as it is.
#WritingWonders Day 21: do you prefer writing first or last chapters?
Judging by the number of them, I prefer opening scenes! Seriously, I do enjoy writing the beginning of a story - for me, each one is a starting point for an idea and I often have no clue as to where the journey will take me. If a film or story doesn’t grab me then I’m unlikely to invest in it.
Trouble is, I write too many openings and not enough conclusions. Need to practice… 🫤
