Most people I know in #Boston (including my own family) have a gas stove on an interior wall with a recirculation hood - much worse than if you had a hood providing outside #ventilation. Opening a window or putting a window fan on exhaust makes a difference in the meantime if you can't afford to upgrade to #induction , but I don't think everyone does this.
