I’d love to hide cats in my hat! Very funny!

Oh my gosh! So adorable! And, once again, I have to compliment your alt text. So glad you’re posting over here instead of the birdy site. You bring a lot of joy to my day.

OMG when will these people just go away?? Are they just jealous they can’t have that type of love and connection in their own relationships?
@thegiddystitcher
it’s looking good! I’m enjoying the updates. I’ve got too much going on this weekend or I’d join you. I love this 24 hour idea! I’ve got a couple of really old WIPs that are my goal to get finished this year. I’ll watch for the next stitch-a-thon and can hopefully play then.

It makes a ton of sense that the Gen Zers are staying home instead of going out. I’m a gen Xer and this is totally what my grandparents generation did (pre- and post-WWII), another era of economic depression. They had friend groups that literally lasted their entire lives. I think my grandparents had about 10 couples in their circle and they’d take turns meeting at each other’s houses to play card games, listen to music, make popcorn, etc. Created close community.
@cladrite I just brought home Cavalcade from the library! Looking forward to watching it even more now!

@dancinyogi I have four lovely parakeets that are incredibly difficult to photograph. They’re all in this pic, so it’s sort of like a “where’s Waldo”
@Cat_LeFey I live very close to Yellowstone National Park and all our indigenous peoples consider it sacred ground. I’ve had the privilege of camping and hiking there throughout my life and for me it’s one of the most spiritual places I’ve ever been. Grand Teton park is also very special, especially camping at the base of the Tetons. The natural beauty through the whole area is very soul filling.
This would be in Wyoming and a tiny bit in Idaho.
@naught101 I bind them together and put a cover on them. I’m a bit OCD and can’t stand a lot of extra pages, so this works for me.
I do agree with other posts here about making it what you want and not getting too stressed with doing what others online are. There are a ton of really beautiful spreads you can find online - I’ll use those for inspiration but do my own thing.
And you also can do something as simple as using a $1 notebook or even plain printer paper stapled together
@naught101 my first one I based on the Bullet Journal by Ryder Carrol - bought his book and everything - but then adapted it to my own personal ideas. I’ve been a crafter my whole life and have been a bookbinder so making my own is a real joy. It helps to enfold a maker aspect into a practical life tool. I create my own signatures (sections that make up a book) throughout the year and, since I don’t know how many I’ll need, just keep creating as I go. At the end of the year (1)
