@dHeinemann yeah it seems like they really intend for you to have many timelines. One for game dev topics and related people, one for sports, etc
In that sense it’s kinda nice for organizing
@dHeinemann I’ve had meaningful interactions on it over the past few days giving it another shot. Hashtags are definitely supported now.
The custom Feeds are cool once you figure out how they work, but the platform definitely feels lonely until you find where people are talking. They’re basically lists, but they can watch for keywords, accounts, hashtags, whatever. Not exactly an algorithm in the way Twitter does it

The tech behind it is really interesting to me, but it’s also a lot closer to a centralized platform than Mastodon
I ended up working on this idea over the weekend. Straight up jQuery and html published to a GitHub pages site. I'm pretty happy with how it ended up as a proof of concept
