The tech behind it is really interesting to me, but it’s also a lot closer to a centralized platform than Mastodon
I ended up working on this idea over the weekend. Straight up jQuery and html published to a GitHub pages site. I'm pretty happy with how it ended up as a proof of concept
It would be really cool if Mastodon supported accounts marking themselves as being automated, which could then be filtered out of timelines in bulk. I’m sure they’re sometimes useful, but honestly they’re more like clutter to me.
@ivory Have you considered adding thread functionality to the compose screen? Being able to compose all of them at once and post would be really cool. Not sure if it’s possible though, since you would probably need the (not yet generated) parent post ID for each one.
@thatvirtualboy I'm loving Bento|Craft so far on my Mac, great job on it! I have some suggestions/feedback:
- Save/load progress, have a list of bentos so multiple apps can be supported at once
- Rearrange tiles, add new ones, etc
- Change text color
@ivory Feature request for desktop: When you go to compose a post, make the pop up window the active one for text input (if this is possible). It would save a click every time. Love the apps!
