Today I attended a talk at my university given by Ray Corrigan on the current state of AI. If I used to be angry about the direction Big Techs are taking us, now all I can think about is setting them on fire and making them disappear.
During the talk, Corrigan mentioned people like @timnitGebru and I couldn’t be more grateful for the work they do. If we don’t stop Big Techs, they will destroy us.
Acabo de enterarme de esta noticia: Una empresa española espera sacar un smartphone basado en Debian Linux. Tiene la misma CPU y GPU que la Orange Pi 5. Para que sirva de referencia, he tenido montado un Linux escritorio con Gnome y varios servicios levantados (como servidores) en una OPi5, y tras casi 3 años sigue tirando como el primer día.
No entiendo como en pleno 2025 no se haya entrado mas en este campo. Linux, ARM y dispositivos móviles, digo.
