If you're going to #wasmio2026 and thinking of stopping by https://2026.wasm.io/sessions/hands-on-with-hyperlight-and-wasm-workshop/ to learn how to run this stuff in a sandbox wrapped in a sandbox, the prerequisites have been posted at the session URL.

We're trying to get M3s and M4s supported by the time we get there, but it'll be close!

@bashorov

well look at that. This is really great.

So happy to see that efforts to reduce the size paid off here as well:
The current Kotlin/Wasm component is 62 KB 🤏

For comparison, the same app built in Rust is 224 KB.

Can it be smaller? Absolutely. Will we work on it? You bet! 🤘

Check out a sample server using wasi-http built with our early #WebAssembly Component Model support in @Kotlin! 🤩

https://github.com/Kotlin/sample-wasi-http-kotlin/

Still early, but very satisfying to see it working ✨

Give it a spin and share what you build 🚀

Breaking news : the Kotlin/Wasm team has just shared the very first incarnation of their server-side wasi-http support based on the Wasm Component Model. https://github.com/Kotlin/sample-wasi-http-kotlin/
