I'm updating a document that an intern wrote in 2018 and it turns out he forgot to push his changes to the network drive after the initial upload, so it's going to be a lazy Friday recreating all that. It's a glamorous life.

Hey, so a PDF can embed other PDFs sort of like a picture. I have a PDF that does that. Is there a way to get the original data for the embedded PDF out?

pdfimages doesn't recognize it as an image, pdfdetach doesn't see it as an attachment, so I'm afraid the embedded PDF gets merged into the document which would make this impossible

Trying Scribus next, worst case I can crop the dang thing out nm scribus with "import as text" mangles it, just gonna recreate this diagram I guess
