Auschwitz Memorial12 September 1882 | Austrian Jew, Richard Bernstein, was born in Vienna. A journalist and editor. In 1933, he fled to Prague & in 1939 to Norway.
He was deported to #Auschwitz on the Monte Rosa ship on 26 November 1942. He was registered in the camp & perished there on 21 January 1943.
11 September 1937 | Dutch Jewish boy, Godfrey Hoepelman, was born at The Hague.
He was deported to #Auschwitz from Westerbork in August 1942 & murdered in a gas chamber after the arrival selection.
