Poland has raised defense spending since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. Prime Minister Donald Tusk supports working with the EU, but Nawrocki stays more euro-skeptic. The EU program is called SAFE, and Poland is set to be its biggest beneficiary. Tusk says his government is preparing a plan B.
