@dmm No problem. To clarify, the linear combination of basis states would be a superposition. A mixed state appears when there is some lack of information about the state of the system. Mixed states cannot be written as a wavefunction and instead are described by a density matrix.

@dmm Great job putting together these notes on the Bloch sphere! While I haven't gone through the notes fully, I noticed a few important mistakes. In the 2nd paragraph you mistake a superposition and mixed state as being the same and in the remark you call a superposition of states a coherent state. This is a common source of confusion so it is important to be precise.
