I'm not sure I agree @azeemazhar with your assertion this morning - yes, success is due customers and talent, but location is largely driven by capital. Why else do EU firms decamp to US? It's not like there isn't a healthy amount of talent and creative / tech ecosystems in Berlin or Amsterdam. Square relocated to US after Irish founder sought capital, and sells to a global customer base.
