I'm not sure I agree @azeemazhar with your assertion this morning - yes, success is due customers and talent, but location is largely driven by capital. Why else do EU firms decamp to US? It's not like there isn't a healthy amount of talent and creative / tech ecosystems in Berlin or Amsterdam. Square relocated to US after Irish founder sought capital, and sells to a global customer base.
The Economist is plain wrong here.
Anti COVID measures are necessary precisely to reduce workload. Yes, vaccines have reduced mortality, but not morbidity.
Illness doesn't affect just patients, but also staff - which is what is hurting the NHS.
