(any/all) For everything else, only time will tell. But for now, let's ball.
@smitha re: please and thank you, Altman made a joke about it costing tens millions of dollars (a number pulled out of his ass) was worth it to stay in the good side of ai. Press immediately ran with the number as news. Water cost for a query is not large compared to other uses, and is constantly going down. Many reasons to be sus of AI, but environmental cost of imdividual usage less so. It's the arms race between companies to saturate markets that don't want it thats the really big problem.
@wehpudicabok High effort trolling or perhaps a mistake while trying to tick everything would be my guess.
@wyatt8740 @wrenderlust I think it's at least partially what those experiences make you value because my also autistic trans friends also seem to share my values so wholly and it's something I feel my cis friends don't share with me.
@Yax I run blockers mostly nowadays, so might not still be possible, but if it's an individual ad, on PC I hit the ? icon on the bottom left and block that ad. Some companies push ad variations that get around this though. But yeah, don't know a good way of blocking a class of ads.
@BasiliskXVIII @Fruan For things I think make the cut, I think Crucias is a powerhouse in Rakdos but OBM hurts it so bad. I also run Seek New Knowledge in Tainted Pact, but I feel like I'm running every decent dig spell there.
@Fruan I saw opponents play Oko and Uro and was like huh cool instead of feeling dread.
@VARice22 The first two words mean "Made in Hokkaido", so it essentially means "Girls from Hokkaido". Not sure if it holds any cultural baggage though.
@Cal I do think that occasionally tags merely add ambiguity where previously there was none. /gen /pos and /hj are unclear if you aren't familiar with them (well /hj is often unclear), while stuff like /pos and /neg either are clear from context or are clearer with /j or /s or even a smiley instead. I find a full tag like /genuine question, (or something in brackets), or just integrating the phrase into the sentence is usually way more useful and often flows better.
@Fruan That game really just makes time disappear.
@Gur814 @christianselig It's not even about money. If they just wanted to earn money negotiating with third party developers for a solution that serves ads and/or has a reasonable pricing would lock in a steady income from each third party app user. It's about control and locking down users to their client because they think that their value is in the user data, and not in their API.
