Student of the sky. Posting out of Quincy, MA about the things that I see. Likely out riding my bicycle.

Yesterday, my boyfriend wanted to get from South Bay to the JFK Library and decided to use Blue Bikes because that was the fastest option. He's a stranger to Boston, so he had no idea what he was getting into until the bike lane disappeared on Columbia and he had to navigate the I-93 interchange and Kosciuszko Circle. I had been hoping to arrange it so his first bike ride in the city was along one of the river paths, but instead he got the true Boston experience.
@MarcHurBoston Can confirm Paris Baguette is open
FYI the ghost bike ceremony for Li Dian Wu will be this Saturday at 1 PM near Roxie's Market in #Quincy. The organizers say all are welcome to attend and honor his memory. #BikeBoston
Boston truly is shaped differently if you have a private vehicle than if you use transit and foot alone. I'm very glad that the neighborhood I want to go to has bicycle parking.
Train service to Concord when
I went on an absolutely lovely FrontRunner-enabled trip today. Bike cars on every train, rail and river trails that connect the entire metro, gorgeous leaves and sunsets, and great riverside food.
Riding UTA's red line and wishing MBTA's red line could go this fast

I finished my end-of-the-line MBTA commuter rail series, #cycling between each terminal station and where I live, with the longest one, Wachusett.

Fitchburg is still one of my favorite cities in the state. I'm a sucker for mill towns in the hills. Also Lunenburg was even more beautiful than I thought it would be.

I appreciated that most of the last half of the ride was off-street, and I think it's neat that I cross Cambridge a different way each time because it keeps on building more bikeways.

Massachusetts drivers sure love to yell "get out of the road" and consistently vote against separated bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. Curious.
I did my penultimate end-of-the-line ride today, from Middleborough/Lakeville. I was hoping it would no longer be a terminus by the time I got to it, but you know how Massachusetts is 🫠 I detoured through the cranberry area in hopes of seeing a harvest, but I didn't luck out this time. It was still cool to see the berries on the bush though. The back roads of Middleborough and Halifax are some of my favorite in the state! #cycling
