#PPOD: A gigantic jet was photographed from the International Space Station by astronaut Nichole Ayers on 3 July 2025. Gigantic jets are transient luminous events (TLEs) that appear to initiate as an intracloud flash between the middle negative and upper positive charge regions in a thundercloud. Haven’t felt very creative lately so let’s gently work toward the goal of making art every day, and I’ll try not to feel bad about the days I don’t. This photo was taken during a walk in the park in November with my iPhone, and edited tonight in Lightroom on my iPad. The sky was much more gray that day but I like the color this edit gave it.
