@sml Thanks . Osc , the Altair hypercam 26c 😊

Here is my latest image from last night! The great Orion Nebula (m42)

It sits at a distance of about 1400 light years from Earth, and is a great stellar nursery. Stars are born here!!

Taken with my 200mm newt at f3.8. This is only 39 minutes total exposure time 🤯

The Western Veil nebula, aka the witches broom 🙂 part of a supernova remnant in the constellation of cygnus.

So this image is actually a combination of data from two different telescopes of mine. The Altair 115 triplet and the Altair 200mm newt

Image is 20x240s on the 115 triplet with dual band filter taken back in July, combined with 55x 180s with the 200mm newt (now at f3.8..thank you nexus) taken last night 😄also with the dual band filter .

@EdHoltAstro thank you 😊
@BobReflected me either until I spotted it!
Adding this little chunk to my imaging train! Let’s take the beer down to f3.8! 🙂 #astrophotography
@dazza1639 that is stunning! ❤️
Good evening everyone! Here’s the wizard nebula! This nebula is about 8500 light years from earth in the Perseus arm of the Milky Way galaxy!
The cluster of stars itself spans around 20 light years and has an estimated age of 4-11.9 million years. #space is very cool

@BrownsAstro @ryderdavid I think a small refractor is a great idea. It’ll make things a lot easier for you. Plus those lovely wide field views
@ryderdavid @BrownsAstro what scope do you have? Also you can get fan cooled and Tec cooled cameras. It’s always worth saving extra and going for the tec model if you can!
