I've seen a few people ask what happens if the instance you are on closes down.

Tradition on Mastodon is that all the people on that instance are buried alive with the admin in a giant pyramid made of old phones and laptops. 😵

Once upon a time, there was a girl on #twitter who liked to talk about #disinformation, foreign information manipulation and interference. She had a particular obsession with definitions and liked to engage in hour-long discussions about terminology and concepts.

Then, a storm came and she felt she had to move out of her bird's nest and find a new one - she found the #cim community on Mastodon and is now making her #introduction to the new network, hoping to find familiar faces and new people to continue the conversation!

And no, I don't always talk about myself in the 3rd person, just have a soft spot for storytelling

When I told people whom I used to work with that I’m neurodivergent & I experience sensory challenges, struggle with task-switching, last-minute changes, long meetings & sudden phone calls, instead of talking about accommodations, they said it’s a dynamic role & I won’t be able to handle the stress; they can’t bring any change to the role; they can’t promise anything. It felt like they wanted me to say that I wanna quit.
