The vote also includes reestablishing regulatory oversight of broadband internet, something the Trump administration took away — and was influenced by a lot of fake comments to the FCC.

These subsidies cost Canadian taxpayers at least $6.03 billion, or roughly $214 per taxpayer every year. And unlike the federal #CarbonTax, Canadians don’t get a rebate on this tax. (1/3)

Fossil fuel subsidies cost Canadians a lot more money than the carbon tax

Never mind the carbon tax. Tax breaks and public spending for fossil fuel companies cost taxpayers billions every year and hurt the environment.

I checked the few accounts I'm following on Threads that are located in the US or in Japan, and none of them enabled Fediverse federation so I still can't see them from here.

Fediverse support in #Threads being manually opt-in is all a joke, by doing that they crippled the feature on purpose.

Two weeks ago, a build of Mastodon's Web interface removed two features which impacted me, other power users and some folks with accessibility issues.

And many of us complained 'cause, well, it kinda sucked.

But @renchap and the developers listened to us! And they didn't just back out those changes. No, they restored the functionality integrated with other new features.

So, I wanted to publicly thank them for all that hard work and landing it last week. Y'all rock! 💖
