@Berbakay this is great. Thank you for sharing!
@Berbakay heard about this on the latest ATP. Did you end up writing to your MP/have any suggested text?
@drdrang I don’t have a notch MacBook yet (still on my Air M1) but now not looking forward to the thick menu bar when I eventually upgrade… hopefully there’s a way to go back
@BasicAppleGuy mine was an iMac 2012!
@quichebrowser oh this sounds super interesting! Thank you for sharing. Bookmarking to review once I get home.

@quichebrowser yes that’s the idea. In iOS parlance, it can also be represented as different tab groups which are visible in the same bar.

Tidbits recently did a roundup of vertical tabs on the Mac if you’re looking for more ideas! There’s definitely a demand for this.

A Roundup of Vertical Tab Support in Mac Web Browsers - TidBITS

After becoming a convert to vertical tabs thanks to Arc, Adam Engst is now seeing and hearing about vertical tabs support all over the place. Though none are luring him away from Arc, he runs down the options in Brave, Firefox, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Orion, Safari, SigmaOS, and Vivaldi. So many browsers!

@quichebrowser thanks a lot for your reply! I think that would be great.

Just for reference, this is the star in tree style tab options: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tree-style-tab/

Tree Style Tab – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-US)

Download Tree Style Tab for Firefox. Show tabs like a tree.

@quichebrowser if you are planning an iPad app, would you consider adding support for vertical/tree style tabs? That’s my main feature request for iPad browsing which would make keep my Mac at home!
@nitin do share examples
@markgurman have you heard anything about a new mini phone? Maybe even the next SE? I would kill for one!
