There was an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger where Chuck Norris went undercover as a Mexican migrant worker. He made no attempt at an accent whatsoever, speaking in his normal voice. They also put him in brown face.

That was pretty bad.

I came here to say there was probably a context clue or three, namely the price.

I don’t know this fella, but he is either so out of touch with how much things cost that he doesn’t pay even the slightest attention, or (gasp) he is making up a story for the Internet.

It is sad, but it’s also a societal failure. No one should ever have to choose between eating and medicine from week to week.
If I recall correctly, this guy started working there after he retired from a government job. Just bored and wanted something to do, and he credited it with keeping him active enough to live as long as he did.

Not sure where you’re at, but this is a US based answer.

I like Carfax. Sure they have some sponsored crap on there, but the added value of having the Carfax data right up front is helpful for me. Other than that, I also like truecar because it gives you geographic pricing comparisons based on previously sold vehicles.

Check out bitofarambler. He literally country hops and has been doing it for a decade. He teaches English wherever he goes.
