The fact that swatting exists—that someone in a place like the US can call the cops, falsely report a fake violent crime, and prompt the police to attack a random person with overwhelming violence—is a crushing indictment of policing.

And yet I don’t think I have ever encountered anyone, in public discourse about swatting, bring this up.

It’s always “what a tragedy” and “filing false police reports is a crime” and never “why did the state build a system that can be hijacked to kill random people like this”.

KPMG issued a report citing all the transformational ways GenAI has transformed industry, it’s been widely cited.

One minor problem: it turns they used AI to write the report, and it made up all of the evidence.

KPMG have now withdrawn the report in full.

@stephaniepixie he's just being Chris Armas. That's what he's done everywhere else he's coached. He must be amazing at interviewing b/c nothing from his actual coaching record justifies hiring him as a head coach anywhere, let alone at the shield winning team.
