TOSTER update 0.7.1

Big Updates to TOSTER Aaron R. Caldwell Welcome to version 0.7.1 (April 2023) I am happy to announce that today version 0.7.1 of TOSTER is now on CRAN. As...

@mzloteanu @emilynordmann not sure what you mean (do you mean "can't" or "not appropriate"?), but some of the authors followed up with this paper recently https://psyarxiv.com/tu6mp/
@emilynordmann Welch's t-test may also be useful for equivalence testing. It's the default in my t_TOST function ๐Ÿ™‚ https://aaroncaldwell.us/TOSTERpkg/articles/IntroTOSTt.html

@zpneal that makes sense. I'm thinking creating a separate function, like "explain_result", that provides a verbose description.
For those unfamiliar with t_TOST feel free to check out this vignette https://aaroncaldwell.us/TOSTERpkg/articles/IntroTOSTt.html

Alright #rstats hivemind, I have a question. Let's say I have developed a function that performs a simple hypothesis test. Would you prefer the default output to follow the S3 htest methods (e.g., output from t.test or cor.test) or a more verbose explanatory output (e.g., the output from my t_TOST function)? (Other feedback welcome in the replies)
htest (e.g., t.test)
62.5%
verbose (e.g., t_TOST)
37.5%

@alexh @boisgontier exactly my point! But if someone were to create some 3rd party arbitration system *it* could work "upon request"?
@boisgontier @alexh no. Because there is no enforcement mechanism sp they can decline all requests.
@cragcrest @lakens don't forget @jennymurphy and the rest of the crew at Dublin. You should talk to them about their replication project!
