Sometimes I think it's only when you consider what's truly bipartisan in this country that you start to see the real problem.

I plan to #VoteYes because that aligns me with the overwhelming majority of Indigenous people.

The people who were consulted, for many years; who designed this #VoiceTreatyTruth process; the people who designed this constitutional amendment now.

They want an #IndigenousVoice, there's been plenty of investigation of the risks and the benefits, and the case is clear.

I'm not going to tell the overwhelming majority of Indigenous people consulted, that I know better than them on what they need. I will #VoteYes.

@NewtonMark I really thought that when they were working that was the denial of service. Must be thinking of another department with “service” in their name.
Being an old privalged white fella,I am so embarest by my fellow australians response to a simple question, its not rocket sience, its not deviceve, simple question, will you recognice a people who have been here for 60kyrs,and give them a voice, thats it people, simple choice, ignore the shitshow

@daedalus time to add to your risk register.
This may be the single best paper I have read in the last 10 years

@tkinson I took particular note of this statement as I’ve been saying exactly the same thing for years:

Rice said that “there is a lot in a name; the role of police in society would be better described – as it once was in NSW – as a ‘service’, not a ‘force’, perhaps with a corresponding change in behaviour”.

Many thanks to @dgar for introducing me to The Angels - Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, and the Aussie audience tradition of singing

"NO WAY, GET FUCKED, FUCK OFF"

in answer to the question posed by the title.

@daedalus that’s a big part of the reason I’ve moved away from Puppet. Being able to target through limited playbooks and very specifically with tags makes targeting a new OS version easier. Puppet just slowly built until every new OS version was dreaded and there were more exceptions in the config than standard config items.
