This is the opposite of what I wanted from WWDC.

I hoped Apple would make it easier for older apps to remain available and continue serving the people who still use them.

Instead, Apple appears to be increasing its role as curator of what software deserves to exist on the platform.

Not every app needs constant updates. Some software is finished. Some software simply works.
I worry that we're losing the idea that apps can age gracefully..
